After a disciplined bowling effort from Misbah’s men, Gladiators were restricted to a below-par 148. The young leg-spinner Shadab Khan was the center of attraction as he bowled one of the spells of the tournament – he gave away just 19 runs in his four overs at 4.75 without conceding a single boundary. Watson was difficult to get away with his variations also, while Sami consistently hit the yorker length.

Quetta’s innings never really threatened to go past 150. Asad Shafiq top scored with 45 off 42, while Mahmudullah scored important 29* to lift his side to a fighting total.
